Several funding opportunities are available at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) through the UKRI Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) and Medical Research Council (MRC).
The opportunities cover a wide variety of studentships, in areas such as Demography, Quantitative Social Science, International Development, Global Infectious Disease and Evaluating Complex Interventions.
Studentships for 2020/21 include:
UBEL is one of the largest ESRC-funded Doctoral Training Partnerships in the UK, offering over 40 studentships a year, in areas that span across the social sciences and economics.
The awards are 1+3 (for applicants who do not have a relevant Masters) and +3 (for students who have a Masters).
In addition EU and international applicants can receive a full award (fees and stipend) if their project has an integral advanced quantitative methods (AQM) component.
