The new ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health at King’s College London invites applications for three PhD studentships, which provide either 3 years of funding for a PhD or 4 years of funding for a Masters’ degree followed by a 3-year PhD. The deadline for applications is 23.59 GMT on 1st December 2019 and the studentships will commence on 1 October 2020.
The ESRC Centre for Society and Mental Health is a new interdisciplinary research Centre established to better understand the impacts of recent social changes on mental health, with a strong emphasis on co-production of knowledge with users and stakeholders and on impact. Students will also join the 2020 London Interdisciplinary Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership cohort.
We welcome applications from candidates with UK or EU residency who have achieved (or are on track to achieve) a 2.1 or 1st class undergraduate degree ideally in a social science subject. There are three funded studentships on offer – two of which involve projects that align with the research programmes of the Centre and one which can be selected from a list of potential projects.
