Fully Funded Five Year PhD Fellowships in the Sciences

The Sciences at the Graduate Center

The Graduate Center, CUNY PhD in the sciences is unique in that it is a consortium of faculty drawn primarily from CUNY campuses across the five boroughs of New York City. This collaborative environment provides students with the best instructors for their courses, and a rich and diverse faculty from which to choose both a dissertation advisor and thesis committee to assist them in becoming expert problem solvers capable of developing innovative solutions to today’s ever more interdisciplinary research problems.

A highlight is the newly opened state of the art Advanced Science Research Center, where global research initiatives are being developed in the fields of Environmental Sciences, Nanoscience, Neuroscience, Photonics and Structural Biology. The center is the nucleus of an integrated research network comprising top researchers from across the University. Together they are taking on challenges ranging from Alzheimer’s disease to the future of the global water supply.

We encourage you to explore our Science PhD program webpage for a complete listing of our PhD programs, as well as our Twitter Feed and Facebook page for up to date information about opportunities available to science students at the Graduate Center.
