The new flagship Healthy Lifespan Institute at the University of Sheffield is currently recruiting:
The Healthy Lifespan Institute is an exciting new multidisciplinary research initiative bringing researchers from a wide range of disciplines (from the biological to the social sciences), to better understand and prevent age-related multimorbidity, which is the presence of two or more of the chronic health conditions that create disability and poor quality of life as we age.
We aim to better understand how common mechanisms of ageing are causal to age-related diseases, and to create new practices, policies and products across the life course that target multiple conditions and consequently help people live longer, healthier and more independent lives.
The founding principle of Healthy Lifespan Institute studentships is to cultivate the next generation of outstanding researchers in the fields of ageing and multimorbidity.
Students must start by October 2020. See individual advertisements for finer details.
