Fully Funded PhD studentships.

About the studentships

Fully-funded PhD studentships are available for high calibre graduates in the following areas of UWE research excellence:

  • Creating Machine Intelligence
  • Flood Resilience
  • Acute Oak Decline
  • Frontline Physiotherapy
  • Ecological Importance of Seagrass Beds
  • Biosciences - Emerging eDNA techniques for the protection of threatened native species
  • Cognitive Psychology, Human Factors and Emergency Care PhD
  • Social Sciences - Dangerous Drug Networks and Policing
  • Appearance Research - Big business and positive body image
  • Public Health - Migrant Fathering

Eligibility and financial support

The above studentships consist of an annual stipend currently £14,296. In addition, full-time tuition fees will be covered for 3 years. Studentships will only fully fund applicants who are eligible for Home/EU fees. Applicants who are normally required to cover overseas fees will have to cover the difference between the Home/EU and the overseas tuition fee rates.

In order to be considered you will need a relevant Master’s degree or a 2.1 or above at undergraduate level.
