Training Future Big Data Experts for Future (FutureData4EU, MSCA COFUND european project): Fully Funded PhD Positions in Areas Related to Big Data

FUTUREDATA4EU - TRAINING FUTURE BIG DATA EXPERTS FOR EUROPE (MSCA COFUND EUROPEAN PROJECT): FULLY FUNDED PHD POSITIONS IN ITALY

53 PhD Positions in Big Data Research and Related Areas, in Leading Universities in Italy

Co-funded under the European Marie Skłodowska-Curie COFUND action and coordinated by the University of Bologna in collaboration with the Universities of the Emilia-Romagna Region (Italy), the FutureData4EU project provides 53 positions for doctoral programs in seven thematic areas related to Big Data:

  • Health;
  • Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society;
  • Civil Security for Society;
  • Digital, Industry and Space;
  • Climate, Energy and Mobility;
  • Food, Bioeconomy, Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment;
  • Enabling Technologies.

As Big Data is relevant to all areas of social development and European industrial competitiveness, the program will cluster doctoral positions and related existing PhD programs by inviting candidates to express their interest in one of the seven thematic areas covered by FutureData4EU and one cross-cutting area on enabling technologies and methodologies. The project aims to maximize candidates' freedom of choice and to guide them within a thematic framework that enhances their skills for future employment. Project will benefit from the extensive computing infrastructure of the Emilia-Romagna Region, which serves as a significant Data Valley: 70% of Italy's computing capacity is located here.
