Imperial College London MultiSci PhD Studentships 2022-23 entry

The new Imperial College London MRC DTP for Interdisciplinary Science in Health (MultiSci) is delighted to offer up to eight studentships commencing in October 2022.

Imperial College London is thrilled to have been recently named as University of the Year 2022. We are a place where talented people, at all levels, bring their best ideas and hard work to address many of the great challenges in the world. It’s our mission to achieve enduring excellence in all that we do for the benefit of society, and we are searching for the people to help us get there. We know you’ll love being part of our community, and we’re looking forward to hearing from you.

All successful MultiSci students will first register for the one-year MRes Biomedical Research, providing MultiSci specific cohort training before progression to the 3.5 year PhD phase of the programme. Applications are open to candidates holding or expecting to gain an undergraduate or postgraduate degree, including Master’s degrees.

All potential applicants are warmly invited to attend the Think Imperial event on 03 November 2021 to find out more. Register here.

Funding

The MRes year is supported with a stipend of £17,609 p/a. PhD research for three years and writing up for 6 months is supported with a stipend of £18,500 p/a. The studentships also provide tuition fees (at home level), a conference fund, a research support and training grant, and additional funds to cover a wide range of research and training activities.

Entry requirements

Undergraduate applicants should hold, or expect to receive, a first class or a good upper second class Honours degree (or equivalent). Postgraduate applicants should hold, or expect to receive, a pass or above at Master’s level. However, a Master’s degree is not required.

Where an applicant does not meet this requirement (e.g. they hold a lower second class undergraduate degree), they are eligible if they hold, or expect to receive a Master's degree with minimum pass or equivalent before starting their studentship.

How To Apply

The MRC MultiSci DTP applications deadline is 29 November 2021. For instructions on how to apply, including the application form, please visit: https://www.imperial.ac.uk/multisci-mrc-dtp/
