The Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences (IGSES), Kyushu University, which is currently ranked 124 in the QS world ranking, has just begun the recruitment of students for funded Ph.D scholarships in the Intellectual Exchange and Innovation (IEI) Program.
The IEI program aims to provide a high-tech training academy for talented and young scientists from various countries to become the future distinguished academics in research areas of Chemistry, Engineering, Environmental Sciences, and Mathematics and Physical Sciences.
For the intake of October, 2021, we will provide 10 funded Ph.D scholarships in the IEI program. 8 seats are for applicants from Middle East and Africa, and remaing 2 seats are for applicants having a bachelor’s and a master’s degree (or equivalent) of partner universities of JICA. Successful applicants will be awarded a scholarship of 145,000 JPY per month for three years, which is enough to cover their primary living expenses. Tuition fees, enrollment fees and administration fees of students of IEI: category D-c will be also waived.
