Neurobiology Ph.D. Program in Shenzhen

The University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS) is an innovative high-level institution and internationally highly recognized. UCAS accepts international students in all 100 institutes of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIAT) was established in 2020 as a full-time research university and is authorized as a campus for the graduate programs of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Applications are invited for the Neurobiology Ph.D. program of the Department of Neuroscience at the SIAT. The main research directions include basic mechanisms of cellular communication, neural basis of cognition and behavior, mechanisms underlying brain disorders, new tools and techniques for brain research, translational research on brain disease models for drug discovery.

The Ph.D. program offers training in the field of neuroscience. Each student is supervised by a principal advisor and an advisory committee. The supervisor is either a member of the Brain Cognition and Disease Institute of Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences or a member of the Faculty of the Department of Neuroscience at the SIAT. Students will present their findings at national and international conferences.
