Cass Business School's faculty comprises over 100 research-active scholars. Many of our faculty hold impressive academic credentials – they are editors of influential journals, and highly-cited researchers. We draw our PhD supervisors from this pool of research talent. Each student is allocated two or more dedicated supervisors who will guide their research and foster their development as academic researchers.
You must hold a first degree (a first class or equivalent) in a subject related to your proposed research topic. In addition the following qualifications would enhance your likelihood of being accepted:
You should also submit a research proposal outlining details of your intended research. This is an important part of your application and before submitting it please familiarise yourself with the research interests of our Cass experts.
Every year we offer several Doctoral Training Fellowships. Those are allocated on competitive basis across the school. Please see our website for more details.
Cass has also developed a unique Executive PhD. The programme is designed to be flexible, to enable busy executives to undertake a PhD, without having to take a career break. It is designed for senior executives working in industry, government or not-for-profit sectors who want a qualification that is highly practical and relevant to their organisation.
