PhD opportunities - Vice Chancellor's Studentships

ARU is home to a dynamic postgraduate research community that benefits from high-quality facilities, a comprehensive Researcher Development Programme, and support from experienced, research-active supervisors. At Anglia Ruskin you can pursue your passion. Join us, and you’ll be part of a vibrant community of researchers.

Our research excellence was recognised in the last Research Excellence Framework (REF) exercise with 12 areas classed as generating world-leading outputs. At Anglia Ruskin we champion research which makes a positive social and economic impact. For example, understanding the effects of ‘liquefaction’ a phenomena of earthquakes that threatens many communities around the world or discovering how electronic games can be used for social good.

We are offering studentships for our full-time Vice Chancellor's PhD Studentships and these are open to UK/EU fee status applicants.

For 2019/20 we are organising these studentships around our eleven research priority areas. The areas, and their associated studentships, are:

Social Inclusion and marginalised communities

Ageing

Sustainability and environment

Crime and policing

Built environment and future cities

Creative practice and creative industries

Vision

Music therapy

Medical devices and technology

Entrepreneurship and applied innovation

Sustainable health systems
