4 year PhD programme for International Postgraduate Researchers in Biological, Medical and Health Sciences, including PG Certificate in Teaching

Our new four-year integrated PhD Programme enables you to carry out independent research whilst also working towards an accredited teaching certificate with training elements across a range of biological, medical and health sciences. This will give PhD graduates planning a career in higher education a competitive edge as the Programme provides practical and theoretical skills in teaching and assessment in a variety of settings..

Alongside your chosen research project and supervisor, the Programme will include a bespoke selection of taught components including:

  • The unique opportunity for you to gain a certified professional qualification in higher education teaching skills (PG Certificate)
  • Courses on research methods and critical thinking skills
  • Advanced courses in discipline related topics
  • Support for academic writing development

This programme is designed to ensure our international Doctoral Graduates become future leaders in academia or in their chosen career in biological, medical, or health sciences.
