PhD Scholarships at Macquarie University

The School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences at Macquarie University is seeking outstanding candidates for PhD scholarships with commencement in early 2023.

Macquarie is a top-200 university, and our programs in mathematics and statistics as well as in physics and astronomy rank among the best in Australia. We offer PhD and Masters by Research degrees on a variety of topics in the areas of Astronomy and astrophysics, Applied mathematics, Lasers and photonics, Pure mathematics, Quantum science and technology, and Statistics.

Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis and cover all tuition fees as well as a tax-free living allowance of AU$28,854 per year.

Applicants who have not completed a minimum of five years' study in either Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, the Republic of Ireland, the United Kingdom or the United States of America, must attain a satisfactory English language test score (TOEFL or IELTS).
