LINAS Doctoral Training Programme | Research

Open to: Home/UK/International Students

Interdisciplinary project themes: Artificial Intelligence, Social Justice and Public Decision-Making and Science, Governability and Society.

  • Full-time postgraduate research tuition fees at Standard UK Rates. The standard tuition fee for 2022/23 was £4,596 for one year of study
  • A maintenance award at the Research Councils UK national rate
  • Research training and expenses

Northern Bridge Consortium – Studentships in Arts or Humanities

Open to: Home/International Students

These studentships cover –

  • Payment of tuition fees and a maintenance award
  • Financial support to participate in a Northern Bridge Autumn Conference, an annual Summer School and a Completion and Leadership Workshop
  • Financial support for placements

Northern Ireland Department for the Economy (DFE) Studentships

Open to: UK/EU Students

The studentship may cover maintenance and fees for a maximum of three years.

  • UK residents: fees plus maintenance
  • Other EU residents: fees only

The Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences is offering fully funded scholarships for entry Sept 2023. More information available soon.

These studentships cover -

Applicants are required to submit a research proposal as part of their application for a PhD. In order to ensure that there is sufficient research expertise within the Faculty to supervise your project, it is recommended that you contact a member of academic staff to discuss your proposal prior to submitting your application. The academic can then advise if there is a potential supervisor available for this topic.
