The School of Engineering & Innovation invites applications to compete for a number of full-time PhD studentships in the following areas:

Studentships will commence on 1 October 2020 and cover full-time fees, include a stipend (£15,009 per annum in 2019–2020), plus an additional annual research allowance.Self-funded, part-time PhD study is also available for some projects.
The successful candidates will be based at The Open University’s campus in Milton Keynes, UK, which combines a friendly and flexible working environment with well-resourced laboratories and workshops. Situated on the Oxford-Cambridge corridor, and just over half an hour’s train journey from London, Milton Keynes is a well-connected, modern town with a population of around 250,000.

If you would like to apply, please clearly indicate the project(s) you are applying for and provide a completed OU application form, an up-to-date CV containing contact details for two academic references and a cover letter of up to 1000 words, indicating your suitability and reasons for applying.
Applicants will need to demonstrate good competence in the English language. International students need an overall IELTS score of 6.5 with no less than 6.0 in any of the four categories of reading writing, speaking and listening.
