The School of Management is one of the UK’s leading business schools. We are a leading centre for management research, placed 8th in the UK in the latest research evaluation exercise. We have been ranked in the Top 100 for Business and Management Studies by the 2019 QS World University Rankings. EQUIS, the European Foundation for Management Development's quality inspectorate, have granted us five-year accreditation. Only around 1% of business schools worldwide have successfully achieved this recognition.
As a leading international centre for management research, our faculty inform policy at the highest levels of business and society. Our research culture is both interdisciplinary and international. The practice of interdisciplinary research within flexible clusters of staff is a defining strength of the School of Management. This is complemented by an active policy of internationalisation which encourages joint research with leading academics institutions in Europe, the USA and Asia. We currently have over 100 academics and research staff and 105 PhD students from all over the world.

We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have an excellent first degree from any disciplinary background to undertake the professional scholarly research training the Bath PhD programme offers. All studentships pay a generous living allowance and offer a full or partial fee waiver for three or four years. Students are expected to start their PhD studies in September 2020.
