We have a small but growing Postgraduate Research community and bespoke supervision teams for each candidate. These teams frequently represent multi-disciplinary backgrounds, allowing for diverse specialisms both topically and methodologically.
We are members of the regional CAM DTP consortium along with Cambridge University, Anglia Ruskin and University of Bedfordshire and collaborate on research development opportunities for Postgraduate Research students across the members of this DTP. We run a range of research development training for our Postgraduate Research students and early career researchers and have monthly social events for networking and socialising.
Our academic departments provide access to a development fund to support postgraduate research dissemination through conference attendance and presentations, and also run research and social events to ensure that students feel part of our research communities.
Suffolk Doctoral College regularly organise events and informal activities for our Postgraduate Research students. Our academic schools and research institutes also host social and academic events throughout the year.
We provide an extensive research development programme for our students and, where available, opportunities to engage in wider research within our research institutes and academic schools.
We focus on providing social and pastoral support and have a well-established Student Life team who support student welfare and wellbeing throughout their studies.
Students have access to our designated PhD spaces for study, as well as other open areas within the campus and research institutes.
