Extra PhD funding for UK / EU students available - October 2020 start

10 EPSRC Doctoral Training Partnership studentships for UK / EU students are now available.

We are seeking highly motivated students to apply for these excellent research studentships, offering payment of all fees and a tax-free stipend. Funding is for 3.5 years (totalling £72,850 per student overall). To be eligible, you:

  • must be a UK / EU national (to be an eligible EU applicant, you need to have more than 3 years residency in the UK).
  • must be made an offer for this funded place by the end of April 2020.
  • start your postgraduate research opportunity in October 2020.
  • must choose a project within the EPSRC remit.

How to apply

You can apply in different ways:

  1. Contact academics who you would like to supervise your potential project. Send an email to one of the lecturers expressing your interest in an EPSRC funded PhD, and ask for a discussion.
  2. Look out for advertised projects via the link below, as new ones will be added regularly.
