The Vienna Doctoral School in Chemistry offers 14 fully funded PhD positions to be filled between September 2021 and March 2022

The University of Vienna, Faculty of Chemistry, is the home of the newly founded Vienna Doctoral School in Chemistry (DoSChem). DoSChem is the largest doctoral training program in Austria focusing on the field of chemistry and closely related sciences by bringing together about 175 doctoral students and more than 45principal investigators. Our goal is to train excellent scientists and to provide an open-minded environment that allows them to connect with each other and to experience a scientifically rich environment to carry out interdisciplinary and curiosity-driven research.

DoSChem offers 14 exciting PhD projects with various starting times (09.21-03.22) covering all chemical sciences. For details see call website below:

By fall 2021, if you have completed your diploma or master’s degree (or an equivalent) in:

  • Chemistry with preferably following specializations organic chemistry, chemical biology, synthetic chemistry, biological chemistry, food chemistry, physical chemistry or related disciplines
  • Cheminformatics/Bioinformatics/Statistics/Informatics
  • Physics
  • Biochemistry
  • Biology/Molecular Biology
  • Pharmacology
