The Accounting and Finance Group

We are one of the largest Accounting and Finance Groups in the UK, part of the triple-accredited (AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS) University of Liverpool Management School. We conduct evidence-based, practice-relevant research, with key areas of expertise being empirical asset pricing, corporate governance, market-based accounting and international macro-finance.

4-year Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTFs) in Accounting and Finance

The Graduate Teaching Fellowships provide an opportunity for applicants with a Master’s degree (preferably a Distinction grade) in a relevant subject and a strong commitment to research, to combine studying for a PhD in Accounting and Finance with the acquisition of teaching experience.

In year one of the programme, fellows are required to demonstrate progress in developing their research skills and knowledge by completing 4 PhD-level modules in Accounting and Finance. Successful candidates will be required to complete a total of 300 hours of teaching during their programme, alongside the doctoral research thesis.

GTFs will receive an annual stipend of £15,609 plus a fee waiver and will have access to student support funds in line with the wider doctoral training provision at ULMS. These fellowships are open to all nationalities. Overseas students will receive a fee waiver at the Home rate but a top up payment may be available subject to budget. The maintenance grant for Overseas and Home students is the same amount.
