The University of Liverpool Management School is inviting applications from prospective PhD candidates with an outstanding academic achievement and research potential for a number of Studentships in the 2020/2021 academic year. These studentships will be awarded across the School, providing tuition fees (at Home/EU rate/International rate) and a stipend of £15,009* a year for up to four years. These applications are for the Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTFs), which provide an opportunity for applicants with a strong academic background and a strong commitment to research to combine studying for a PhD with the acquisition of teaching experience. The Graduate Teaching Fellowships provide an opportunity for applicants with a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree, a Masters degree in a cognate subject and a strong commitment to research, to combine studying for a PhD with the acquisition of teaching experience. Each post is associated to a particular subject group within the School, of which there are currently 6: Work, Organization and Management, Strategy International Business and Entrepreneurship, Finance and Accounting, Economics, Operations and Supply Chain Management and Marketing.

Applications to be made via the University of Liverpool Apply Online system, selecting programme of study Management Studies. In the Finance section select funding source Sponsor and insert ‘PHD-BLPRULMS-2020 studentship’ in the box below. Also include this as the first line of your Personal Statement. Decisions around appointments to the PhD programme will not be taken until at least the end of July to due current circumstances surrounding COVID-19.
Please also note that if you applied for the first round of GTF funding for 2020/21 entry and your application was rejected, your application will not be considered in this second round.
