Wellcome-MRC Cambridge Stem Cell Institute 4-year MRes & PhD Studentships

By bringing together members of both the Schools of Biology and Medicine, this four-year PhD programme will enable you to take advantage of the strength and breadth of stem cell research available in Cambridge.

Programme Outline

  • Choose from over 27 host laboratories in which to perform 3 rotations in year one.
  • Learn a variety of practical techniques, including advanced imaging and flow cytometry.
  • Study fundamental aspects of stem cell biology and stem cell medicine, through a series of modules led by leaders in the field.
Physical Biology of Stem Cells

MRes + PhD Programme in Stem Cell Biology & Medicine

We have up to 6 places available on this Wellcome-funded programme for students who hold (or expect to receive) a relevant first degree at the highest level (minimum of a UK IIi Honours Degree or equivalent). You must have a passion for scientific research.
