Wellcome Trust 4-year Interdisciplinary PhD Programme in Structural, Computational and Chemical Biology

at UCL | Birkbeck | Francis Crick Institute

Fully funded Wellcome Trust PhD studentships available for entry in Autumn 2019

In this exceptional programme students are exposed to a wide range of training in all aspects of structural, molecular and cellular biology, chemical biology and the computational tools necessary to address essential problems at the forefront of biomedicine.

The first year of the programme comprises intensive training and lab rotations in three disciplines: Structural, Computational and Chemical Biology. Students are able to choose from a range of taught programmes from undergraduate to masters level which enhance and consolidate their academic training within the ISMB’s multidisciplinary environment.

Lab rotations are available from the ISMB’s principal investigators and allow students opportunities for discovery from the beginning of their studies and their own unique experience of interdisciplinary research before choosing their PhD project. This experience provides the basis for an informed choice of PhD project and an ideal platform for progress in years 2-4.
