About the Programme

We're seeking outstanding doctoral candidates to take up more than 100 scholarship opportunities available across the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Edinburgh.

We carry out world-leading research which makes a difference to policy, professional practice, business performance and the wellbeing of communities and cultures.

With over 1,000 academics and students involved in research across our 11 schools we are home to an exceptionally rich and vibrant postgraduate research community with a broad range of academic interests.

Our scholarship opportunities include:

• AHRC PhD Studentships 

To include fees, stipend for full-time or part-time study and significant additional flexible funding to shape their doctoral training to meet their individual needs. Deadline for applications to the University is the 3rd December 2018.

• ESRC PhD Studentships 

To include fees and stipend for full-time or part-time study and additional training opportunities. Deadline for applications to the University 3rd December 2018.
