A number of scholarships for new students beginning their PhD programme in September 2019 are now available.
We seek to award scholarships to the best applicants across all areas of the School. All scholarship applicants must follow the instructions on how to apply for each scholarship.
All scholarship applicants must also submit an online application for a place on the PhD programme. See the How to Apply page for more details. Awardees of external scholarships will not be considered for the scholarships we offer.
Please note: For all scholarships, we strongly advise that you submit your programme application at least 5 working days before the scholarship closing date. You will not be able to access the scholarship online application form unless you have applied for the doctoral programme at the University of Edinburgh.
