About the Programme

The Sociology Programme team at Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU) welcome applications for a new PhD scholarship. All applications will be considered but we are especially interested in proposals in the areas of:

  • Youth, Employment and Transitions
  • Sociology of Education
  • Generational Differences and Relationships

The Award

The PhD scholarship is for three years. Scholarships comprise a stipend of £13,000 p.a., tuition fee waiver for three years and an expense allowance of £500 p.a.

Entry Requirements

Students who have a Masters degree, or at least an Upper Second Class Undergraduate Honours degree (or equivalent) are invited to apply. We endeavour to be inclusive and flexible regarding applicants with caring obligations, disabilities and other considerations.
