The University of Edinburgh Business School has been ranked 16th in the UK and second in Scotland according to the Power Index, which measures the quality and breadth of research, in the Research Excellence Framework (REF) assessment. Recognition in the REF adds to our success of joining the 1% of business schools worldwide to be ‘triple-accredited' from international ranking bodies, AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.
Research in Business and Management
The Business School advances knowledge through theoretical and applied discipline-based research. That research is published in top academic journals and creates impact through peer recognition, corporate and community engagement, and the support of student learning.
The Business School's research mission is to produce theory-led, practically relevant research that addresses contemporary organisational and management challenges faced by businesses, public organisations, regulatory bodies, and policy-makers.
The School has significant research expertise in the following subject areas:

• Management Science and Business Economics
• Organisation Studies
The School has links with other Schools in the University, including Social and Political Studies, Mathematics and Law allowing students with cross-disciplinary interests to find expertise, support and supervision.

• Business School Scholarships (8 in total) - 4 years fully funded
• ESRC-funded scholarship in Improving Project Delivery - 3 years EU/UK only
