About the Programme
Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU)
Glasgow School for Business and Society (GSBS)
The Glasgow School for Business and Society comprises of six academic departments. The School has an international outlook and is committed to developing partnerships across the world. With a dynamic research portfolio, GSBS leads on the societal challenge of inclusive societies as part of GCU’s research strategy developed to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. This research focuses on the themes of social justice, equalities and communities, and social innovation and public policy.
We invite applications in the areas listed below for self-funded PhDs. Your proposal should outline what you want to research and how it links to the work of the relevant Department as below:

Department of Fashion, Marketing, Tourism and Events
Department of Finance, Accounting and Risk
Department of Management and Human Resource Management
Department of Media and Journalism
Applicants should possess as a minimum a good honours degree (2:1 or above) and/or Masters degree in a related area of study demonstrating sufficient evidence of academic/research ability in their chosen research area.

Fees and funding
Applicants are expected to find external funding sources to cover the tuition fees and living expenses. Alumni and International students new to GCU who are self-funding are eligible for fee discounts.
