The University of Liverpool Management School
The University of Liverpool Management School is inviting applications from prospective PhD candidates with an outstanding academic achievement and research potential for a number of ESRC NWSSDTP Studentships and GTF Studentships in the 2021/22 academic year.
Both above studentships will be open to all nationalities and subject areas. Successful Home students receive a full tuition fees for the duration of the studentship at the home tuition fee rate, and an annual stipend of £15,285*. Successful Overseas students will receive fees at Home/EU rates (a possible top up payment may be available for International candidates, subject to availability); the maintenance grant for Overseas and Home/EU students is the same amount.
NWSSDTP Studentships
Much of the PhD research training at ULMS is informed by our partnership with Lancaster University Management School and Manchester Business School as part of the ESRC North West Doctoral Training Centre (now referred to as the NWSSDTP). This relationship ensures that all our PhD students have access to the highest standards of training cognate across the three Universities, both in social science research and career and life skills. For these studentships, applicants are organized into one of three cohorts: Business and Management, Economics or Accounting and Finance, each with their own NWSSDTP Studentships. Please note that candidates are advised to apply to the Management School in the first instance using the online system as detailed towards the end of this advert. Please see possible routes here.
Graduate Teaching Fellowships (GTFs)
The Graduate Teaching Fellowships provide an opportunity for applicants with a First or Upper Second Class Honours degree, a Masters degree in a cognate subject and a strong commitment to research, to combine studying for a PhD with the acquisition of teaching experience. Each studentship is associated to a particular subject group within the School, of which there are currently six.
