About the Project

This project aims to investigate crowd’s behaviours under emergencies. Crowd emergency and evacuation simulation has been a central topic in several fields including crowd simulation, design and safety. However, it is very difficult to do quantitative research on such behaviours due to the lack of data. On the other hand, it is too expensive and unethical to hire people and places to do such experiments.

The project is to build a virtual reality platform for crowd simulation and get data from human subject reactions in such circumstances for analysis and simulation.
