Fluid simulation has been widely used in many areas in engineering, ranging from aircraft design to entertainment (games/movies/apps). Theoretically, finer physical models have been sought to describe various phenomena of fluids. On top of it, there are also many open research questions from visualisation to fast simulation.
This project is trying to target them by developing high-fidelity simulation methods that are also fast to run. This project aims to combine the state-of-the-art theoretical research in fluid simulation, computer graphics and machine learning to target this problem. It will look into using cutting-edge machine learning techniques to accelerate various fluid simulation models.
