Computer Science Research Centre (CSRC) of the University of the West of England, in partnership with a local business, are pleased to offer this PhD studentship, which aims to use big data and artificial intelligence to better plan and manage the delivery of adult social care.

In particular, the PhD will look into the utilisation of historical care allocation datasets, and real-time datasets to optimise large-scale health/adult care workforce allocations, predict anticipated demands and journey times, and generate planning scenarios. This will be achieved by the application of data science and big data analytics techniques.

Research at the Computer Science Research Centre (CSRC) addresses a wide range of topics relating the implementation in industry of novel and emerging technologies eg data science, the Internet of things (IoT) and big data analytics, and artificial intelligence.

For an informal discussion about the studentship, please contact Dr Kamran Munir at [Email Address Removed].
