About the Project

Applications are invited to undertake the PhD studentship to perform research on high fidelity modelling of electrical machines considering high frequency effects in Electrical Machines and Drives group, Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering, The University of Sheffield.

Entry requirement:

·     Applicants should hold at least a first degree of 2:1 class (or equivalent) in electrical engineering, with project experience in electrical machines and drives.

·     Finite element analysis experience of electromagnetic, thermal and/or structural aspects.

Funding:

·     3-year full funding (UK tuition fee and tax-free stipends) for UK students.

·     3-year overseas tuition fees for international students.
