This project is to design and develop AI enabled remote health monitoring systems. The main aim is to adopt IoT based sensory platforms and apply AI techniques to remotely monitor the patient/individuals. This system remotely measures the physiological signals and physical activities to predict any risk conditions of the patient/individual. The main three objectives of the project are:
1. To design and develop an IoT enabled system to remotely acquire physiological signals/images/videos.
2. To train and test advanced ML/AI models from the heterogeneous datasets to interpret the health condition and identify risk scenarios.
3. To validate the results for the optimum performance of remote health monitoring systems.
The studentship is open to UK citizens and EU applicants with pre-settled or settled status, it is also open to international applicants if they can cover the difference between Home and International fees for the duration of the programme of study. Candidates should hold a first- or second-class honours or a master’s degree in computer science/computer engineering/electrical and electronic engineering or other relevant disciplines or have equivalent industry experiences. It is essential that the applicant has very good skills in computer programming (e.g., Python and C/C++) and good knowledge in data science, IoT, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and mathematical modelling.
