About the Project

The high-value nutrition He Rourou Whai Painga (HRWP) challenge is seeking expressions of interest in a fully  funded PhD position. As part of this project you will be involved in the design and implementation of a long-term multi-centre dietary whānu orientated intervention study that will explore the impact of consuming a high-quality New Zealand food and beverage products on metabolic health. Your project could focus on analysis of dietary intake as it relates to metabolic disease outcomes and risk, or understanding the molecular mechanism through which adopting a of high-quality Aotearoa New Zealand diet impacts food intake regulation and metabolic health. You may also have given the opportunity to work with food and beverage products industry partners. 

The ideal applicant will have a masters or honours degree in physiology, nutrition, dietetics or a highly related field. This position will be based at the University of Auckland, with the potential for internal and external supervisory team.
