About the Project

PgDip(Res) Project

The TU Dublin part of this project involves synergising vast and diverse datasets about a cohort of prostate cancer patients. This will involve image processing with both conventional colour images of prostate tissue and Raman spectrographic image of the same or parts of the same tissue sections. It will also involve historical datasets about the patient throughout their cancer treatments.
The successful candidate will need to be able to apply the state of the art in machine learning to discover the most powerful yet robust predictive models of patient outcomes based the available clinical and tissue sample data. This will involve highly complex image processing as the cornerstone of the data analysis. Ideally, the successful candidate will be a strong source code programmer.
