About the Project

Candidates wanting to pursue advanced research in Space Law are invited to submit their proposal to Law Department at Kingston University London.

Application Process and Contribution 

Candidates normally need a postgraduate masters degree or a first/upper second class honours degree or equivalent in a subject relevant to their proposed research programme. Please check the relevant faculty's research degrees webpage for specific requirements. 

Word length for the PhD thesis is 80,000. On completion it will be the subject of an oral examination. 

Candidates will be expected to contribute to the Law Department’s teaching and research. In particular, Candidates will be expected to contribute to the works and development of the Law, Technology and Society Research Group at Kingston University.

Candidates should include the following information in their written proposals: (a) specific research topic; (b) rationale; (c) research questions; (d) methodologies; (e) key literature. Please also include a motivation letter.
