About the Project

Electric vehicle development has been a hot topic around the world. This PhD programme will develop artificial intelligence based control methods to optimize the performance of electric vehicle motor drive system in terms of reliability and efficiency. In this program, new machine learning/computer vision/deep learning methods will be developed and applied in motor control algorithms development, which will create a new breed of cutting-edge electric vehicle technologies around the world.

Academic entry requirements:

Candidates must have (or expect to obtain) a minimum of a UK upper second class honours degree (2.1) or equivalent in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, Mathematics or a related subject.
