About the Project
STACK is underpinned by a Computer Algebra System thereby enabling personalised feedback that responds to the mathematics entered by students. The research student will investigate how to improve the design of STACK assessments using approaches that might include interviewing and surveying lecturers, analysing student responses to test questions, and running experiments that compare different modes of feedback.
Outcomes will be theoretical contributions to the literature on mathematics assessment and feedback, as well as design principles and example test questions underpinned by research findings.
