About the Project

Loughborough University in partnership with BioAge Labs is offering an industry PhD position under the supervision of Prof. Alexandra Stolzing. The position is available for a three-year appointment.

In cooperation with bioinformaticists and biologists, the PhD candidate will develop computational and systems biology methods that combine multiple omics datasets to identify biological pathways that impact human aging.

We offer:

Entry requirements
Applicants should have, or expect to achieve, at least a 2:1 Honours degree (or equivalent) in programming or a related subject. In addition the following requirements are desirable;

- Strong interest in aging research
- Excellent communication (written, verbal, data recording) and organizational skills
- Ability to carry out research tasks independently and effectively collaborate with other research staff
- Highly productive and able to get things done on tight timelines
A relevant Master’s degree and/or experience in one or more of the following will be an advantage, bioinformatics, biological or medical sciences, physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering and/or computer science
