Dr Yuji Dong, Dr Jie Zhang, Prof Y Yue, Dr T Payne  Applications accepted all year round  Funded PhD Project (Students Worldwide)

About the Project

The Internet of Things (IoT) has been boosting a wide range of applications in various domains. However, cross-domain application of IoT lags behind in practice due to the lack of an effective cross-domain IoT data management and sharing solution. The heterogeneity of data produced in the perception layer, the different data security and privacy requirements for various application domains, and resource limitations of end devices such as sensors pose considerable challenges to cross-domain data management and sharing in IoT. This project aims to address the problem of cross-domain IoT data management and sharing. First, a novel cross-domain data management and sharing model will be proposed. Then attribute-based security and privacy protection strategies will be designed and implemented for different application domains. Finally, lightweight method and edge computing will be studied and applied to the new model and security and privacy protection strategies.
