About the Project

We are looking for a highly motivated researcher to kick off his/her PhD journey on an exciting project co-hosted by Université de Bordeaux (France) & The University of Sydney (Australia).

Applicants will have the possibility to choose among the three innovative projects proposed for the position "Diffusivity of lithium ions in high-energy positive electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries" (DC28). You can find the project’s details on AUFRANDE website.

The successful candidate will sign a 36-month employment contract with Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique - Institut de Chimie de la Matière Condensée de Bordeaux (UMR5026) (France) and be enrolled as a PhD candidate both at Université de Bordeaux (France) and The University of Sydney (Australia) where s/he will spend 12 months.

International mobility is a core feature of the program. Besides a residential year in Australia, the successful candidate will be part of a cohort of 64 PhD fellows and will participate in regular events where they will share common experiences and build a sustainable community, laying a strong foundation for long-term impact on future collaborations and careers.

Funding Notes

The remuneration package, in line with EC rules for Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant holders, will consist of:
- Gross annual salary: EUR 27,000
- Net annual salary (estimate): EUR 1,850/month (subject to national tax legislation).
