About the Project

This research aims to explore how social platforms mediate economic behaviours, decisions, and their consequences, emphasizing the trade-offs that individuals, businesses, and policymakers face in the digital economy.

Research Objectives

  • To identify and analyse the key economic trade-offs for users and businesses engaged on social platforms.
  • To evaluate how these trade-offs influence decision-making processes and Behavioral outcomes.
  • To assess the implications of these trade-offs for economic policy and platform governance.

Methodology

This research will employ a quantitative approach to systematically investigate the economic trade-offs on social platforms. It will incorporate the use of data analysis to understand these trade-offs, applying economic theories and models to interpret the findings. While tools like Python and machine learning may be utilized for data analysis, the emphasis will be squarely on exploring economic trade-offs and their implications.

Potential Impacts

The project is poised to provide profound insights into the economic trade-offs on social platforms, offering guidance for platform governance, policy formulation, and business strategy within the digital economy. By highlighting these trade-offs, the research aims to contribute significantly to the academic discourse on digital economics, offering nuanced perspectives on the challenges and opportunities presented by social platforms.
