A research proposal is required for each application.

Digital forensic investigations for insider threat incidents and breaches have received increasing attention from all the UK governments and business sectors.

The investigation effort, time and cost of digital forensic procedures could be improved with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) [ Machine Learning algorithms (ML) or Deep Learning algorithms (DL)]. Also, by using AI, digital forensic investigators could increase the chances of the recovery and analysis of the digital evidence related to the policy violation or crime.

Other PhD topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

•            Digital Forensics

•            Malware Analysis
