The project will involve population based study in areas where populations are exposed to environmental contaminants like heavy metals, for example arsenic, cadmium and lead. You will conduct survey on diet and socio-economic correlates of environmental exposures to human health. The project will involve sample collection based on surveys; analyses of contaminates in water, food, urine, hair and blood using state-of-the-art facilities; biomarker analyses; cellular or molecular toxicity studies; and data analysis using statistical software. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a diverse interdisciplinary research team comprising of researchers from UK and other countries, focused towards sustainable global health.
