Project Description

I offer a PhD project in formal modelling in psychology.

The PhD project will use mathematical models, neural networks and agent-based approachs.

Classically cognitive psychology theorises about experimental evidence in a qualitative way. More recently, however, there has been an increasing development of mathematical and computational models of experimental results. These models are often more clearly defined and more detailed than their qualitative counter parts. The objective of the computational psychology group is to develop such models of a broad range of psychological phenomena. However, as this objective can only be achieved in interaction with behavioural data, the group also pursues experimental work.
