This project aims at developing autonomous robots to perform environment monitoring, pollution source localisation, pollution mapping. The project includes the prototyping of the robotic platform with multiple sensors, the design of control and navigation algorithms of robots to maximise the monitoring efficiency. Theoretical analysis, simulation study and experimental validation will be provided by the applicant.

Eligibility Candidates should hold a first or upper second class honours degree (or its equivalent) in engineering or similar relevant science discipline. Background in Robotics and Control Theory is considered.
Experience in Matlab, Simulink, matlab robotic toolbox and/or Vrep is required.
