About the Project

The right candidate will be part of a team whose work is of great importance to industry, society, and academia.

As a doctoral student, you will work with the development of simulation models and optimization methods for handling and analyzing complex industrial problems and their application in combination with emerging digital technologies such as augmented reality for improving manufacturing processes and production systems. You will work within the Division of Production and Automation Engineering in the School of Engineering Science. The work takes place in close collaboration with industry partners and as part of the research project, ACCURATE. The industrial partners in ACCURATE are GKN Aerospace Sweden AB, Volvo Penta, ABB, and Xylem Water Solutions Sweden AB. The research includes the development of implementable solutions that both suit business needs and fill the scientific research gap. Due to this, the student will be required to travel and spend time at company sites located in Sweden.
