About the Project

The Accelerated Connected Computing Lab at KAUST is hiring a PhD student in Computer Science to conduct research on hardware acceleration in a connected context. This is a fully funded position. Applicants with a Masters can be enrolled directly onto the PhD program, while those with a Bachelors can be enrolled on the MS/PhD program.

KAUST is a postgraduate-only research university on the shores of the Red Sea, just one hour from Jeddah International Airport. Students enjoy generous stipends and free accommodation and healthcare on a world class campus with ample recreational facilities and a private beach. KAUST offers you the opportunity to pursue world-class research among a highly diverse student/postdoc population of high achievers, and interaction with world-leading faculty across a range of disciplines.

We are seeking a student interested in hardware acceleration in a networked context. This research will focus on creating lightweight abstractions for networked accelerator systems. Experience with hardware design on FPGAs, software programming in C or similar, and networking are highly valuable.

Applications for Fall 2023 admission is now open. Further details on life at KAUST and the application process can be found here https://admissions.kaust.edu.sa/
