The Blockpass Identity Lab at Edinburgh Napier University focuses on a core areas of trust, identity and cryptography. This studentship aims to developing Blockchain-based frameworks for dynamic software components, ranging from cloud and IoT applications to autonomous software agents. The frameworks should comply with General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards to guarantee users privacy, trust and transparency. They will monitor and track all personal data processes and exchanges among software components and automatically flag GDPR violations. An important focus of the research will be on the implementation privacy-preserving architectures, container virtualization, designing privacy-by-design models, developing GDPR-supported smart contracts and deploying the contracts on Blockchain and multichain.
