About the Project

The Cardiff Catalysis Institute is looking to recruit a new PhD student. Applicants should have a good degree in Chemistry, or a related relevant subject, should be self-motivated and demonstrate a keen aptitude for research.

Academic criteria: Applicants should have at least a 2.1 undergraduate degree in Chemistry or a closely related discipline appropriate for heterogeneous catalysis research.

The deadline for applications is Friday 1st April 2016 and applications are considered for a April 2016, July 2016 or October 2016 start date.

Cardiff University reserves the right to close applications early should sufficient applications be received.

Funding Notes

This studentship consists of full UK/EU tuition fees, as well as a Doctoral Stipend matching UK Research Council National Minimum (£14,057 p.a. for 2015/16, updated each year).

Eligibility

Residency: Full awards (fees plus maintenance stipend) are open to UK Nationals and EU students without further restrictions.
